Privacy Policy

This explains what Flyback collects, what we do with it, and, most importantly, what we will not do with it without asking you first.

The principle behind all of it: your information is here so we can find you the right role. It is not a product, and it does not leave us without your say-so.

  1. What we collect

    • What you give us in the form: your name, email, phone number, your answers to the questions we ask there, and your LinkedIn profile if you add one.
    • Your resume. The form asks for one because without it we cannot tell whether a role actually fits you, and we would rather know that before we take up your time.
    • What you tell us on a discovery call: your background, what you are looking for, where you want to be, your compensation expectations, notice period, and work authorisation. We keep notes and, where you are aware of it, a transcript.
    • Your ratings and replies when we send you roles, because that is how we learn what to send next.
    • Basic technical information your browser sends when you load the site.

  2. We ask before we share anything

    This is the commitment that matters most, so it gets its own section.

    • We do not send your resume, your name, or your contact details to any company without your consent.
    • We do not put you forward for a role without telling you which role and which company, and getting your agreement.
    • We do not make an introduction without both sides agreeing to it.
    • Consent is per-opportunity. Saying yes to one company is not a standing yes to the next one.
    • You can withdraw consent at any time. Email us and we will stop.

  3. What we use it for

    • Understanding your background well enough to know where you would actually fit.
    • Matching you against roles in our network, and improving how that matching works. The more we understand about which matches land and which do not, the better the next set of roles we send you.
    • Contacting you about your application, a call, a role, or an event.
    • Running and improving the service, including our own internal models and tooling for reading resumes and call notes.

  4. Where it goes

    Your information is used internally by Flyback. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers or data brokers. Not in any form, aggregated or otherwise.

    The only people outside Flyback who see your details are companies you have specifically agreed we can introduce you to, and the service providers we need to run the business at all: our hosting, database, and email providers. Those providers process data on our instructions and cannot use it for their own purposes.

  5. The salary calculator

    The salary calculator on this site is open to anyone and needs no account. You can use all of it without giving us anything.

    It offers to read a CV so it can work out which job role and how many years of experience to show a range for. If you attach one, that file is read once and is not kept. It creates no record, it does not reach the rest of our system, and it is not linked to any application you make later, before or after.

    The text of that CV is sent to Google Gemini, an external AI provider, so it can be read. Nothing else about you goes with it and we keep no copy of it. The calculator never asks that provider what you should be paid: every figure it shows comes from the published salary data named on the page itself.

    If you would rather it was not read that way, the two fields it fills in can be set by hand and the calculator works exactly the same.

  6. How long we keep it

    We keep your information for as long as you are in the network and want to be, because a role that fits you may appear a year after we first speak. If you ask us to remove you, we will delete your resume and personal details, keeping only what we need for our own records of introductions already made.

  7. Your choices

    • Ask us what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
    • Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
    • Ask us to delete your information, or to stop contacting you.
    • Withdraw consent for any company introduction, at any point before it happens.

  8. Referral links

    Everyone in the network has their own referral link. If you arrive on someone else’s link, we store a small cookie in your browser so that if you come back later and apply, we still know who sent you. It holds one thing, the referring person’s code, and it expires after 90 days.

    When you apply, we record who referred you so we can credit them. That record is your name against theirs, internally. Being referred does not change how we treat your application, and we do not tell the person who referred you what you put in the form, what is in your resume, or what you say on a call.

  9. Security

    Resumes are held in private storage, not on any public URL. Access to candidate records is limited to Flyback staff who need it. We do not claim any system is perfect, but we do not take shortcuts with this.

  10. Changes

    If we change this policy, the date at the top of the page changes with it. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you rather than relying on you noticing.
